The World's number one, Serbia's Novak Djokovic, is set to commence his 2024 season by participating in the mixed teams United Cup in Australia. Rafael Nadal has been sidelined by injuries not highlighted in the Spain team roster declared Friday.

Novak Djokovic, the top-ranked in the World, is ready to lead the Serbian team at the mixed teams United Cup at the start of the season 2024, scheduled from December 29 to January 7 in Sydney and Perth.

United Cup Emphasizes Equality

The United Cup, an illustrated ATP- WTA tournament, is organized in collaboration with Tennis Australia and features a prize of AUD$ 15 million and provides Pepperstone ATP and 500 WTA Tour ranking points. Sixteen countries are officially on the confirmed list of participants, and the final two positions will be determined by November 20, 2023.

Nations will be drawn into six groups of three and engage in a round-robin setup. In each match, there will be one contest in both men's and women's, along with a mixed doubles encounter.
